We are excited to announce that a short film has been made about Leon Fleury - a member of our faith community - showing his life and his work tanning hides, making drums, and sharing his knowledge of herbal healing. Jocelyn Lernout and Richard Wang were instrumental in producing Leon’s story. They spent many hours over the past two years interviewing Leon and filming him as he shared his passion.
On Sunday, December 3 at 3:00pm you will have an opportunity to view Richard’s third documentary film, The Drum Maker as it will be screened at Glen Morris United Church. Native drummers will add to the event as they drum and sing native songs. Stay for some refreshments at the end of the program.
Admission is $25 at the door. All proceeds are going towards renovations at the Glen Morris United Church.
