DESCRIPTION:Grandview Theatre Company presents the Grand River Quilt Projec
 t at Glen Morris United Church\, Saturday\, September 26\, 2026.\nThe quil
 t is inspired by the waters of the Grand River and was lovingly created by
  people throughout the Grand River basin\, including Glen Morris\, through
  last year's Voice Of The River project. The Quilt project has been led by
  Pat Flood and Sharon Gashgarian.\nMost of the squares come with a story\,
  and following the opening of a Thanksgiving address delivered by Austin S
 ilversmith\, a collection of the quilt stories will be shared\, adapted an
 d dramatized by Peter Smith and Laurel Paetz. As well Austin Silversmith a
 nd Cordelia will be performing their work adapted from quotes of residenti
 al school survivors\, You Are Not Forgotten and Rae Crossman will be prese
 nting his poem Boy in the Bow. Area river\, flora and fauna photos by Glen
  Morris resident Jeff Leader will also be on display.\nTiming will be some
 what fluid\, with doors open at 12:30 to view the quilt\, presentation at 
 2:00pm and a time to chat with performers\, organizers and some quilters a
 t 3:30. Coffee\, tea and water will be available.\nThis is a free event an
 d open to all.
