On Monday November 14, the Chief Medical Officer of Health for Ontario, Dr. Kieran Moore released a statement that “strongly recommended” Ontario residents wear masks in all indoor settings. The reason for this recommendation is the triple threat of COVID, Influenza and RSV in the province. Under these circumstances, the Reopening Committee encourages everyone entering the church building to wear a mask. This recommendation is not mandatory nor compulsory. It does however decrease one’s risk, and also protects the most vulnerable in our community – the young, the very old, and the those with underlying medical conditions. The committee also reiterates that in the event you develop symptoms of illness, stay home and seek medical care as appropriate. Sunday services continue to be held online via Zoom each week for viewing at home, with sign-in access in the Passing the Peace newsletter and on the website for each week's service.
