A new Governance Document for our church was first approved by the Official Board, then the congregation, in 2019. The latest third edition was approved at the Annual Congregational meeting in February 2025. This extensive document provides a cohesive structure and framework for the administration of our church. It outlines our church governance model, committee and group mandates, church policies, meeting protocols, and nomination procedures. It should be noted that the policies included in the document are based upon The Manual of the United Church of Canada. The Governance Document is not static, since it undergoes review at least every three years by the Official Board then the congregation. Glen Morris United Church is proud to be at the forefront of United Church communities of faith in producing and maintaining this valuable document.
