A Wonderful UCW Closing Service - With Gratefulness

Sunday, May 11 was Mother’s Day, a fitting time to celebrate the many years of service of the United Church Women of this community after having decided to disband in 2024. Rev. Michiko offered a lovely 'Litany of Thanks' honouring the history and dedication of those who spent countless hours in mission and service for this group of women within the United Church. Wonderful memories were shared by Jean Murray and Florence Rothwell while Janice Little  presented a fabulous dramatization of what it meant to be a member of such an invaluable part of the life and work of the church. UCW members and special guests, including Western Ontario Waterways (WOW) Regional Council UCW President Anne Reuben and WOW Regional Council Staff Minister Rev. Kathy Douglas, gathered for a photo before tea and a celebratory cake.
