As Chair of the Official Board of Glen Morris United Church, and on behalf of every member of the congregation, I wish to congratulate all those who contributed to the planning, building and completion of our new church addition and renovations. The sincere thanks of the congregation are extended to all the members of the Renovation Committee – Margaret & Leon Fleury, John Graham, Bill Coppes, Suzanne Crichton, Liz DeGroote, Bill Labron, Lynn McRuer; to Hoskin Construction Inc. and all other trades; to the United Church of Canada; to the Extension Council of Waterloo Presbytery, and to every person who contributed in any way whatsoever in the work.

Our new Heritage Room and Office Room, the transfigured Upper Room, the renovated Fellowship Room, the outdoor landscaping with new benches for sitting and upgraded gardens; new mechanicals; beautiful, functional solid wood cupboards and shelving made by Neil Sandilands; energy saving upgrades throughout the building coordinated by John Graham; and modern Audio/Visual equipment purchased and installed by Rick Totten – these improvements are more than impressive. The matching stone exterior is a testament to the detailed planning of the Renovation Committee and evidence of the fine work accomplished by the stonemasons.

These major improvements to Glen Morris United Church demonstrate God’s presence in our community and in the world. May our church prove a blessing for the congregation and for our local community for generations to come. Adam Cresswell recently preached a sermon with the message that Jesus is the head and foundation of the church on earth. As we dedicate and devote our time, energy, talents, and work to His Church here in the Glen, we demonstrate our love for Jesus.

Respectfully submitted on behalf of the congregation,

Robert Williams
