Glen Morris Church was active both inside and outside the church building. Here are some of the highlights that our church members made happen:

  • We welcomed with open arms our past minister, Rev. Debra Schneider and our well loved Rev. Michiko Brown-Kai to lead us in worship.
  • The Search Committee received 14 applications for the position of minister at Glen Morris United Church
  • We held a Zoom Q&A session with Jeff Brown, answering questions from those who attended
  • The UCW celebrated it’s senior members with a high tea
  • Many volunteers have helped clean the manse under the direction of Margaret Fluery and endless hours of painting the manse havebeen lead by John Graham.
  • The church hired Nancy Smith  as our new custodian

CONNECT events continue to happen:

  • Janice Little lead three community walks with the primary children from Glen Morris Public school introducing them to the many features of Glen Morris
  • John Graham gave a talk and tour of Centennial Hall during each community walk (X3)
  • Margaret Fluery introduced the children to the church and played the pump organ, pipe organ and piano (X3).
  • Neil Sandilands told schoolhouse history to the grade two students during the community walk
  • Jeff Leader told of his connections to Canada and gave      information about the “Save the Turtles” project
  • Karen Murray-Hopf sang her song 'Canada's Kids' for the grade 3/4 class during one of the community walk stops
  • The Faith Formation committee sponsored “A Mother’s Appreciation event” for children to bring their mothers to an afternoon of activities. Over 40 community members attended.

Life happens in our church; come be a part of it!
