What a wonderful first attempt at a Glen Morris Food Truck Night!

On Thursday, August 20, the Glen Morris United Church Parkette came alive from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. as about 50 people gathered to enjoy delicious food, good conversation and plenty of laughter.

Spearheaded by Glen Morris resident Jasmine Percival, the evening featured the delicious offerings of Paula’s Street Food of India and BBQ from the Wild Boar. Many brought along their lawn chairs and settled in to enjoy a relaxed evening of neighbourly fun, while the younger crowd enjoyed lawn activities organized by Sue Harkness.

It was especially wonderful to meet so many new faces from in and around the village. This first event was a trial run, and judging by the response, it was a very successful one!

The hope is to turn Food Truck Night into a monthly Glen Morris happening in 2027 — perhaps on a Tuesday evening from June through September. Stay tuned!

A big thank you to Jasmine, our food vendors, Sue and everyone who came out to make the first Glen Morris Food Truck Night such a success. We can’t wait to do it again!
