Glen Morris United Church continues to show remarkable generosity and care for those in need.
Through the months of November and December, $2,050 in PC gift cards and cheques in ongoing support of The Salvation Army Food Bank programs in Brantford and Paris were donated. Of this total, $1,000 was raised specifically for The Salvation Army Community Christmas Program, helping ensure local families experienced warmth and dignity during the holiday season.
In total, church monetary donations to Food Bank programs in 2025 reached an amazing $6,670!
Our commitment also extends beyond our local community. In 2025, Glen Morris United Church donated $4,161.95 to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank. This total includes the generous contribution of the Sharp family, who donated a portion of the proceeds from the sale of this year’s corn crop, as well as significant gifts made in memory of Neil Sandilands. For 32 years, Glen Morris United Church and the Sharp family have supported the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, with a total contribution of $59,721. Even more impactful, these donations are matched on a 4:1 basis by government matching funds, multiplying their reach to help address hunger around the world.
We give thanks for the compassion, faith, and commitment of this faith community, whose generosity continues to nourish hope - both close to home and across the globe.
