Dear Glen Morris United Church,

This Sunday we are on the road! I want to celebrate how beautiful it is that as a community of faith we are willing to go where we are called to offer prayer, music, and companionship. We are a really special community of faith and I’m so grateful that this Sunday we will be gathering at Telfer Place and bringing our loving presence and experiencing God in our midst under the skylight and willow trees.

In their song, Hope Comes, The Bengson’s sing of a powerful Easter truth: hope comes from the place where the hurt comes. In this song, they teach us and remind us that the joy of Easter Sunday is connected to both Good Friday and Holy Saturday. Somehow, in the new upside down world God is creating - it is crucifixion, death, and despair that somehow are the Holy Ground in which we plant our Easter hopes. Take a listen to this invitation to Good News that is as catchy as it is powerful.

The Bengsons - Hope Comes

As the birdsong greets us in the morning, and the plants begin to blossom and bloom, may the peace of Christ be with you and may we give thanks for these many signs of new life,

Yours in Christ,

Rev Michiko
