Dear Passing the Peace Readers,

Sending you all solstice blessings during this incredibly hot week! I hope you are all managing to stay cool. I went for a bike ride along the Rail Trail last night and so enjoyed having that wonderful breeze in my face.

This week I would like to share with you the moderator’s National Indigenous People’s Day message. We are so fortunate to have The Very Reverend Carmen Lansdowne’s perspective as a leader of this church. Her short video message offers some great invitations for different ways we can honour National Indigenous History month this June and National Indigenous People’s Day on June 21.

If you would like to use any of the liturgy or reflection from last week’s service to honour National Indigenous People’s Day, it can be found here.

As we greet the longest day of the year, may each brilliant ray of sunlight fill you with the peace of Christ,

Yours in Christ,

Rev Michiko
