Dear Beloved Passing the Peace Readers,

This week wraps up our Sacred Waters preaching series and it has been an honour to invite you into one thread that was woven throughout my sabbatical. The fact that water is sacred and necessary for life seems so obvious, and yet every time I return to this fact in prayer, I find there is still more space to deepen into this truth. May we all move through this week with a little extra mindfulness of just how often we, and the other living beings around us, rely on water.

On Sunday we will be concluding our reflections with an opportunity to share with one another an experience or relationship with a body of water that has informed our spirituality. Is there a river that invites you to pray? Is there a time when connecting with water helped you heal? Has there been a time where jumping in the water helped you learn or remember something about your baptism? I’m looking forward to hearing your stories!

May the peace of Christ be with you this week,

Rev Michiko
