Peace be with you!

Worship

Please note that information about worship are now being shared through the Event Section of the website and the weekly newsletter.

Supporting the Church

Donate: Please consider making a contribution to the church to support the costs of keeping the church sanitized, paying for the internet, and other costs relating to re-opening for worship during this covid19 pandemic. You are invited to click here for more information on how you can support the church financially. A very special thank you to all of those who are finding new and creative ways to bless the church with their time, talent, and treasure. Your support is what makes it possible for us to continue thriving as a church, even in the midst of these challenging times.

Volunteer: We are currently looking for volunteers who can support church re-opening such as tech support and ushering. If you are interested in offering leadership during worship, please be in touch with Michiko about reading scripture or any other idea you have in mind!

Connect with the Minister

I am looking forward to more in-person socially distanced visits. Please be in touch if you would be interested in having me visit your front yard or porch in the next little while. Of course, a phone call or meeting by zoom is always an option if that feels best for you. Simply hit “Reply” to this email to get in touch!

Remembering September 11th

From the musical, Come From Away, this week’s video brings together a well-known Christian prayer and reflection from Jewish and Muslim people who are all sharing the unexpected ways in which they turned to faith after being stranded in Gander, Newfoundland on September 11th. May we honour all the ways people responded to terror with love.

A Prayer inspired by James 1:19 as I prepare for the uncertain road ahead

From dailyprayerguide.net

Dear Lord, please help me to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger. Help me to listen for understanding. Help my words to build instead of tear down. Help my attitude to be of peace, not of anger. I pray this in Jesus’s name, amen.

Peace be with you,

Michiko
