Travel, Food and Giving Back at Glen Morris United Church

Last Saturday evening May 2nd, 50 people gathered at Glen Morris United Church for a captivating slide presentation on Northern Vietnam presented by Ross Earnshaw, Janice Little, and Jane Ann Smith. Inspired by a recent 'hike, bike, kayak' trip the three adventures took part in, the audience responded with plenty of “oohs,” “ahhs,” laughter, and even a few groans as they enjoyed a wonderful variety of photos and videos from the trip.

Following the presentation, guests were treated to a delicious Vietnamese dinner catered by Red Basil Restaurant of Cambridge.

Thanks to the generosity of those who attended, the event raised $600, with proceeds being shared equally between Soles4Souls and Glen Morris United Church. Several boxes of gently used shoes were also collected in support of the initiative.

The shoe drive will continue for another two weeks, with donation boxes available at Glen Morris United Church.
