Listed as a Top 100 Festival in Ontario, the St. George Applefest happens each fall and has become a major fundraiser for Glen Morris United Church. With the festival happening on September 20th and 21st, 2025, the organizing committee is putting out a request for ingredient donations as well as volunteers. If you can help with any amount of the following it would be greatly appreciated!

  • 28 lbs lard
  • 18kg all purpose flour
  • 6 kg white sugar
  • 7 lbs butter

As well, volunteers are needed for - 

  • Pastry making - at Glen Morris United Church on either Thursday, September 11 or Friday, September 12, starting at 8:30am. - 4 people are needed. On Wednesday, September 17, at 10:30am, 4 people are needed.
  • Apple peeling - at Glen Morris United Church on Thursday, September 18, a morning and afternoon shift with at least 5 people neede for each shift
  • Pie baking - at Wesley United Church in Cambridge, Friday, September 19, 8:00am shift and 12:00pm shift - at least 5 people needed for each shift.
