We are very excited to inform you that by March 31, our church congregation raised the $50,000 needed to qualify for a Regional Council Matching Grant. This amount included the funds previously received in our Capital Mortgage Repayment Fund over the past twelve months. Our Treasurer, John Graham, confirms that small and large donations were received from many members of the congregation. We wish to most sincerely thank each and every donor who contributed to this fundraiser. Every gift was gratefully received, and will be faithfully applied. The total $100,000 will reduce our mortgage from $172K to $72K. As we continue to pay the usual mortgage payment each month, the majority of the payment amount will now be used to decrease the outstanding capital owing (rather than for interest accrued). We will be eligible for another Regional Council Matching Grant in three years (likely for $15,000), then our mortgage will be discharged. 

When one looks at the truly magnificent renovations completed at our church and manse over the past five years, it is a testament to the faith and confidence of our congregation that we are guided to carry out God’s work here in the Glen.
