Heads up! Children will meet for an extra special longer session from 2-3:30pm this week!
We all have talents, gifts, interests, and things that fascinate us and motivate us. Some of us love to dance, where others love to draw, still others are readers, swimmers, or quiet listeners. This Sunday we’ll be hearing from Paul who reminds us that we all bring different talents to our group and together we can accomplish much more than we can alone. Youth 12 & up will meet at noon as usual and children 11 & under will get the opportunity to show off their talents, play some games and read some extra stories from 2 -3:30pm.

Hello and welcome!
My name is Colleen Lowrie and I am the Summer Camp Director at Camp Menesetung in addition to the Rural Youth Hub coordinator. You may want to know a bit about me. I am a candidate for ordered ministry in the United Church and I hold a Master of Divinity from the United Theological College in Montreal. I have served at Camp Menesetung for three years, two as the Camp Chaplin and one (2020) as the Summer Camp Director. I am passionate about faith education and walking alongside children and youth as they discover what nurtures their faith and spiritual lives. I am so excited to be able to offer this new way of exploring faith throughout the year, and I look forward to getting to know you, your children and your youth!
In this package you will find:
● A schedule for the November 01 - December 06 section of our Rural Youth Hub programming
● The Zoom links will be available to those who respond via email to glenmorris.uc@gmail.com
● The link to BAND - an app that will allow us to have our own children and youth space online that is secure and maintains privacy for the children & youth using it
● A short registration form & release that we would ideally like to have before the first session and definitely by the third - send it to colleen@campmenesetung.ca
● A list of some materials that you may want to have available - if there are specific things that are needed they will be posted on BAND as well

Release & Agreements
1. I agree that, having taken such precautions as in your discretion are deemed advisable, Camp Menesetung shall not be held responsible for any accident or sickness to my child.
2. I understand that Camp Menesetung reserves the right to cancel my child’s participation in a Rural Youth Hub session or the Rural Youth Hub in its entirety if his/her/their behaviour is deemed unmanageable or dangerous to his/her/themself, other participants or leaders
3. I give my consent for my child to participate in all activities provided by Camp Menesetung
Zoom/Online specific
4. I understand that all Zoom calls are recorded & filed confidentially for security purposes.
5. I understand that while Camp Menesetung will provide Zoom background options (to be found on BAND), that everything in the background of my child’s camera may be viewed by other participants and leaders. I will help my child to understand the mute and camera on/off options so that they can ensure their own privacy and the privacy of others in the family when communicating with others in the house while online.
6. I am aware that Camp Menesetung cannot control what is happening in the background of other participants and will use the mute and turn-off video functions if necessary to protect the safety of participants but cannot always control the environment
7. I am aware that there may be online material presented that contains references or links to materials from third parties. Camp Menesetung is not associated with those third parties.
8. I am aware that while moderators may mute my device from time-to-time, that sounds & voices captured by your device’s microphone can be heard by other participants and leaders.
